Here are some key trends to watch this season

  1. The revival of Boho chic - it’s going for a relaxed yet sophisticated look this season, focusing on romantic feminine silhouettes that exude effortless elegance. Men’s SS25 show a 13% increase and women’s a 17% increase of boho chic especially in suede matching sets on the runway.

  2. Yellow seems to be one of the colours of season, there has been a 11% rise in yellow on the runway as seen is designers like Alaïa, Alexander McQueen and Hermès runway shows S/S 25.

3. Asymmetrical style are the whole new look, creating a fresh dynamic from one leg pants to flowy skirts and one shoulder tops. Fashion pieces are being elevated to new heights making garments look fresh and contemporary cut to traditional shapes.

4. Hot pants as the mini skirt is another popular option especially for Gen Z generations whether it’s styled with stockings or bare legs. Fabrics caught on the runway range from cotton, knit, sequin, denim and leather. It’s bringing back the 90s nostalgia when shorts and leggings was your daily staple.

5. Elevated Athleisure has taken over the runway where comforts meet sophistication, its redefining casual wear making it suitable for lounging and social outings. Designers have bought in elements of yoga, Pilates and ballet inspired looks to their collections. Ferragamo and Casablanca represent this well in their S/S 25 collections.

6. Aquatic Wonderland is popular this season. In my personal opinion I have always thought the serenity of the oceans blue and the coastal landscape is a great inspiration for fashion. It takes you deep into the water inspired by the depths of the oceans and all the marine life that live there. This season it has risen to the runway with collections using breezy fabrics, nautical stripes, mermaid inspired mesh fabrics and turquoise, blues and white colour palettes. According to Heuritech this is set to increase by 8% over the next few months with an additional increase in maxi skirts and sequin embellished products.

7. Petal Pink is strong in this seasons colour palette, soft shades of pink bringing a fresh and romantic vibe to spring collections. This hue adds a delicate touch to various ensembles, from casual wear to formal attire. Designers like Coperni, Alaïa and Simone Rocha. Your can style pastel pink with pretty much anything from denim, satin and sheer. Paired with elegant gold or silver jewellery to elevate your look.

Embracing these trends allows for a versatile and stylish spring wardrobe that balances comfort, elegance with a modern twist.
